The Senior Litigation Paralegal will be working within a successful and friendly team with great opportunities to learn and to get involved in court work.You will be working on the defence of litigated motor cases on behalf of a wide range of Insurance clients. The successful candidate will also be dealing with a mixture personal injury, credit hire and counter fraud files. You will be responsible for your own case load of files and for undertaking individual fee earning tasks on cases for and in support of senior Fee Earner (s).Key AccountabilitiesThe work handled by the Senior Litigation Paralegal include, but are not limited to,:Running own case load of pre and post-litigation defender motor filesAdhering to court deadlines and managing files in accordance with court timetablesInstructing expertsInstructing and working with CounselCarrying out detailed reviews of medical recordsLiaising with clients/other insurers/third partiesLiaising with policyholders and witnessesNegotiating settlementsDrafting pleadings/court documentsEssential Skills and Attributes:Experience in Litigation and InsuranceIdeally experience in at least one of the following areas: Credit hire, personal injury and counter fraud filesExperience of drafting court documents and understanding of processesAn ability to organise and prioritise tasks using initiativeCalm under pressure with the ability to re-prioritise and delegate effectively when requiredAn ability to analyse evidenceGood team worker with the flexibility to do what is required to get a result and ensure client service levels are metValuesKeoghs is a community of outstanding people.
