Smile Education is currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialised SEN provision in Dudley. This school supports students from Reception through to 6th form, catering to a diverse range of needs including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down Syndrome, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). About the School: The school provides a supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. With a variety of roles available—ranging from one-to-one support to whole class assistance—the school values flexibility and teamwork to meet the individual needs of its students. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students across various age groups, including 1:1, 2:1, and whole class support. Assist in developing and implementing individualised learning plans. Work with students to help them manage and regulate challenging behaviours. Collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.The Successful Candidate Will: Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or a relevant subject. Have recent experience in a similar role supporting students with SEND. Demonstrate confidence in working with students of varying ages and needs. Possess a sound understanding of SEND and effective support strategies. Be flexible and adaptable in teaching and support approaches. Work effectively as part of a collaborative team. Commit to ongoing training and professional development. Hold an enhanced DBS check or be willing to apply for one.
