Live a life more Virgin.Our Team The team provides oversight of personal credit decisions, ensuring credit underwriting standards along with wider credit processes are robust. Through oversight and independent investigation, the team provide assurance, support and recommendations into the underwriting standards and framework, ensuring safe, profitable unsecured lending growth.What you’ll be doing Managing a team of Unsecured lending assurance specialistsOversight of unsecured Underwriting, Collections, policies, automated strategies and risk-based pricingExpert judgement and support to enhance standards across the credit lifecycleIdentifying both opportunities and weaknesses in automated credit decisionsOversight of wider credit process embedded within the store network and contact centreIdentification and escalation of issues within the credit process, ensuring relevant actions are raised and monitoredManagement and development of control processes within the Credit process ensuring risks are being adequately mitigated Managing a team of people to develop and enhance data driven analytical insight into the unsecured portfolios delivering enhanced credit risk management and improving customer outcomes. We need you to have Excellent knowledge of Unsecured lending products and the wider marketPrevious experience of successfully leading or oversight of both manual and automated decisions across the credit lifecycleDemonstrable experience with using analytical tools e.g. SASExperienced in developing and interpreting data to produce analytics with a tenacity to look beyond headline information to identify inconsistent trendsSkilled in building trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levelsProficient in communicating challenging messagesHigh motivation and the ability to inspire and develop colleagues.It’s a bonus if you have but not essential Experience in contributing to strategic direction and prioritiesAn understanding of developing a Risk and Control frameworkRed Hot RewardsGenerous holidays - 38.5 days annual leave (including bank holidays and prorated if part-time)? plus the option to buy moreUp to five extra paid well-being days per year? 20 weeks paid, gender-neutral family leave (52 weeks in total) for expectant parents and those looking to adopt Market-leading pensionFree private medical cover, income protection and life assuranceFlexible benefits include Cycle to Work, wellness and health assessments, and critical illness Ability to work anywhere in the UK?
