The Role
This is a highly varied and 360-degree role, ideal for someone just out of college or university or with a passion for working with computers and hardware systems. The successful candidate will work across multiple areas including building and maintaining PCs and servers, coding to integrate hardware solutions, and fieldwork on-site as required. The ideal candidate will also bring a passion for learning about artificial intelligence as the sector continues to advance rapidly. This role would suit someone who's always had a passion for computers and hardware who's looking to enter the exciting world of AI.
Key Responsibilities:
• Hands-on work with computer hardware, including building, configuring, and maintaining PC and server systems.
• Basic coding skills to make hardware systems function seamlessly (coding experience in any relevant languages).
• Work with Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
• A varied day-to-day workload that includes hardware assembly, light coding, and on-site work.
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions as the team evolves and embraces new technologies in AI and beyond.
Key Requirements:
• A passion for computers, especially hardware, with many years of hands-on, informal experience in building, modifying, and working with PCs/servers.
• Basic coding knowledge to help connect hardware and software elements (specific languages can vary).
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• A desire to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to take on varied tasks, including hardware, coding, and on-site troubleshooting.
• A proactive attitude, flexibility in daily work, and a readiness to contribute ideas and improve workflows.
• Strong interest in artificial intelligence and the ability to keep up with rapid developments in this sector.
• No formal professional experience is necessary, but strong practical experience gained through hobbies or informal projects is highly desirable.
