Finance Manager

Operational Finance Manager – Edinburgh/Livingston (Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days from home) – Up to £65,000 + £7250 + 15% bonus We are looking for a seasoned Finance Manager / Finance Business Partner to oversee finance for 3 food manufacturing/logistics sites across Scotland. As the Finance Manager – Scottish Operations you will play a key role in ensuring financial controls and governance are maintained within their factory and logistics functions. You'll collaborate with the Central Team to deliver critical financial reporting, drive performance improvement initiatives, and support senior management by providing insight into operational efficiency and financial health. Key responsibilities: · Ensuring robust financial controls are in place for the supply chain, working closely with both factory and logistics teams. · Taking ownership of daily, weekly, and monthly financial results, identifying root causes of issues and opportunities for improvement. · Acting as a senior member of the Factory Management Team across multiple sites, driving accountability with Plant Directors and ensuring performance delivery. · Conducting critical assessments of performance by line, area, or process, proactively seeking solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste. · Collaborating with the Central Team to provide timely and accurate financial reporting. · Tracking key initiatives, including value engineering, major CapEx projects, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements. · Maintaining a forward view of financial and operational health, preparing the business for future success. Experience/Qualifications: · Qualified Accountant (or similar international qualification) with commercial experience post qualification to a senior level. · Experience in manufacturing, or similar, at a larger site (400+ employees), as a finance manager or finance business partner. · Experience in a senior leadership role. · Strong financial control knowledge and business acumen, with the ability to provide sound financial advice. · Proven ability to identify patterns, trends, and insights from data. · Highly organized, self-motivated, and action-oriented with a proactive mindset. · Experience with system process improvements, streamlining operations, and removing non-value-added activities. · Excellent cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct control. · Strong analytical skills and the ability to balance in-depth analysis with swift action when problem-solving
