Job Title: Senior Gas Technical Team Leader Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester Persona: Agile (Onsite, Remote, and Hybrid) Salary: £39,969 to £47,000 per annum, plus Essential Car User Allowance of £1,300 per annum Interview Dates: 4th November Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Team Leader to oversee our domestic and commercial Gas and Ventilation systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that manage gas distribution and ventilation in our residential and commercial buildings. As the Senior Technical Team Leader for Gas and Ventilation, you will ensure the safety, compliance with regulations, and operational efficiency of our gas and ventilation systems by leading our contractors to develop solutions and prevent potential hazards that could compromise the health and safety of our residents. The Senior Technical Team Leader (TTL) will report directly to the Heating & Hot Water Manager and work closely with a small, specialised team. This team consists of two Gas/Heating Coordinators and one Gas Engineer, whom the TTL will supervise. The TTL will oversee the work of the Gas Engineer to ensure that safety standards, regulatory requirements, and project goals are consistently met. The Senior Technical Team Leader will perform a range of duties to ensure the safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of gas, ventilation, and regeneration systems. This includes coordinating and administering services, as well as providing meticulous reports on the status and performance of these systems. The TTL will manage safety programmes, including appointing qualified contractors for maintenance and annual safety checks, and implementing robust procedures to comply with safety regulations. Additionally, the TTL will be responsible for budget management, contract management, and continuously improving safety programmes to ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with legislative requirements. The Senior Technical Team Leader will provide effective monitoring and reporting, regularly updating senior management to ensure transparency and accountability in the operation of gas and heating services. These responsibilities are crucial for maintaining the health and safety of residents and employees, as well as providing reassurance to customers and regulators regarding the organisation's commitment to gas safety and compliance. The ideal candidate for the Senior Technical Team Leader position will possess the following qualifications and experience: ACS Gas for Domestic and Commercial Appliances/MVHR professional qualifications Thorough knowledge of gas statutory compliance and gas management requirements in housing maintenance Experience working with MVHR, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems Ability to supervise, organise, and prioritise the workload of administration staff Experience in a supervisory/management role within social housing Proficiency in computer literacy Highly organised Excellent customer service skills Current driver's licence If you possess the necessary qualifications and experience and are interested in this role, apply without delay!
