Based in Slough, UK, the Procurement Manager will work as part of the senior leadership team within the operations function. Overseeing a global supply base spanning China, the EU, and the US, the successful candidate will develop and execute the procurement strategy to support business growth and ensure consistent material quality and delivery. Leading a team of four, the role requires setting strategic goals and delivering cost-effective sourcing solutions. Key Responsibilities for the Procurement Manager job: Strategic: Develop and lead a high-performing procurement team, driving strategic objectives. Negotiate supplier pricing and terms, aiming for optimum cost efficiency. Implement value-based sourcing strategies and long-term cost reduction programs. Conduct risk assessments and create risk mitigation plans for key contracts and suppliers. Collaborate with the NPD team on new projects, ensuring design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost targets are met. Establish and maintain SLAs with key suppliers and document procurement processes.Operational: Maintain and update the MRP system to optimize inventory levels. Partner with the quality team to ensure supplier products meet necessary standards. Manage key supplier relationships, ensuring stability and high service levels. Provide ongoing support to the business with day-to-day procurement needs.The Ideal Candidate: The company is looking for a proven leader with a successful track record in Procurement Management, particularly within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, analytical, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, global setting. Essential Qualifications & Skills for the Procurement Manager job: Degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field. Over 5 years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in international sourcing. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and data-driven decision making.
