Electrical Design Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Location: Basildon, Essex About Us: My client are suppliers of testing and assembling machinery within the Automotive Industry. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design within the Automotive or Bespoke Bachinery industries, with hands-on experience using EPLAN software. This role involves designing, developing, and optimising electrical systems to meet project requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics using EPLAN software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications. Create and maintain documentation, including wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and bill of materials (BOM). Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during the implementation phase. Perform electrical simulations and analyses to validate design concepts. Ensure designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. (or equivalent vocational qualification) Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the automotive or bespoke machinery sectors. Proficiency in EPLAN software; experience with other design tools is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, and automation technologies. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CAD software and 3D modelling tools. Familiarity with automotive electrical systems or bespoke machinery design processes.
