ACR Recruitment & Training Ltd is looking for an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join our Engineering client based in Coventry. This is a permanent role available for an immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity to strengthen a skilled team.
Working Hours: - Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm - Friday: 7:30 am – 12:30 pm
Role Overview: As an experienced CNC Turning Machine Setter/Operator, you will be an essential part of the turning section. Your role will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating machines using established programs - Setting and operating machines to validate new programs - Editing programs and making necessary adjustments - Interpreting technical drawings and 3D digital files - Producing prototypes and small production runs - Conducting inspections using CMM and manual methods to ensure quality - Maintaining clean and organized workstations - Adhering to quality standards to ensure high-quality output - Training team members in machine setting processes - Fostering a positive working relationship with colleagues to support team success
Qualifications and Experience:
- Time-served or equivalent experience in a precision machining environment - Relevant Engineering Qualification (Apprentice-trained preferred) - Proficient in Fanuc controls, including CNC Thread Machining - Strong knowledge of Fanuc programs with the ability to edit and adjust tool paths - Skilled in moving offsets and safely proving untested programs - Competent in inspecting work with CMMs and gauges to verify product quality - Experience with Lynx and Doosan machinery is advantageous - CAM experience is beneficial - Ability to work with a variety of materials, including Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminum-bronze, and plastics - Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail - A team player with a flexible approach to work
Pay: - £15 - £16 per hour, based on experience
