STOIX has been retained by a fantastic, purpose-led, FTSE 50 listed organisation to appoint their new Head of Group Tax. Reporting to the Group Director of Tax & Treasury, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and innovative tax professional to join a thriving, international business.
This role offers great progression opportunities within the business and potential succession planning. The successful candidate will lead the tax function's transformation and help establish best-in-class, optimized processes and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the global tax strategy, aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic tax advice to support business growth and M&A activity.
- Oversee tax compliance across the group, mitigating risks and ensuring accuracy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Drive tax efficiency initiatives and leverage technology to optimize processes.
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded tax leader ideally with:
- CTA (or equivalent) qualification and extensive global tax experience.
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing tax teams.
- Strong understanding of tax implications of complex business structures.
- Experience in managing tax risks and compliance in a global organization.
- Significant experience in dealing with tax authorities and advisors
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A pro-active individual who enjoys working collaboratively as a team.
- Treasury experience is desirable.
