Contract Site Engineer - Flood Defense Work

Are you an experienced Site Engineer with a passion for delivering essential infrastructure projects? We are seeking a dedicated Site Engineer to join our team on a high-profile flood defense scheme. As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction works, specifically focused on flood defense structures and water management systems. The ideal Site Engineer will have strong experience in civil engineering, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer who is eager to contribute to the safety and resilience of communities through critical flood defense projects.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site in accordance with project plans.
  • Overseeing flood defense works, including embankments, levees, flood walls, and water channels.
  • Ensuring quality control and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining records of work progress.
  • Monitoring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer in flood defense or civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of setting-out techniques and surveying equipment.
  • Familiarity with flood defense structures and water management systems.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (degree or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
