Research Scientist

We are currently looking for a Research Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Berkshire area. As the Research Scientist you will be responsible for: KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Perform mRNA synthesis to support internal activities. 2. As the Research Scientist you will conduct cell and molecular biology experiments. 3. Carry out data analysis and troubleshooting. 4. As the Research Scientist you will assist in developing and implementing automated technologies for mRNA synthesis, purification and transfection.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related fields. 2. Proven industry experience in molecular biology techniques (PCR, qPCR, DNA/RNA purification etc.) and mammalian cell culture. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with nucleic acid therapies including ASO, siRNA, mRNA, CRISPR or viral carriers.
