Job title: Chef de Partie Salary: 13.75 GBP per hour Location: Near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire Accommodation provided: Yes Charge for accommodation: 115 GBP per week Type of contract: Permanent Workplace description: A distinguished destination spa, which is an all-inclusive retreat, dedicated to ensuring guests feel rested and rejuvenated at the end of their stay. For the serious spa goer, we have extensive spa facilities, over 130 spa therapists and a plethora of luxurious spa treatments. Away from the spa, our beautiful accommodation and surroundings are perfect for relaxing with friends, enjoying healthy cuisine and making the most of the health club or a game of tennis. The rooftop infinity pool (one of six pools) is a must. Main duties and responsibilities: Assists and supports the head chef in food preparation Prepares the starters as well as the vegetables Coordinates banqueting events alongside the banquet manager Provides support to the restaurants sales and marketing team Is involved in the training of lower cadre staff Helps with menu planning Oversees breakfast preparation and service Meal preparation Oversees food preparation, cooking and presentation in the restaurant Enforces safety, health and hygiene standards in the kitchen Troubleshoots any problems that may arise in the kitchen Ensures that food goes to the customers in a timely manner Manages and supervises the commis chefs that work under them Essential criteria: Must have the willingness and desire to learn. NVQs or equivalent would be advantageous, as well as experience of at least a demi Chef de Partie (or above) in a similar standard establishment I would like to thank you for your interest shown in this position.
