Yard Operative /Handyman Are you an experienced handyman with experience of working in yards and used to working/maintaining and cleaning of a machinery? Have you worked in a warehouse/yard environment setting? If the answer is yes then we’d love to hear from you. Location: Middleton, M24 1RD Hours: 07.30-17.00 Shifts: Monday - Friday (possible overtime on Saturdays) Pay: £13 per hour Job: full time, temp to perm position for the right candidate Key Responsibilities: Undertaking general yard duties, which include porter services, reactive cleaning, general maintenance Ensure standards and procedures are adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety Assist cleaning/maintenance team members as required Indoor and outdoor work Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Perform materials handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and labelling products for dispatch. Assist with heavy lifting tasks, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Requirements: The physical fitness required to undertake your daily tasks Ability to work as part of a team An organised approach and able to complete job duties on time A commitment to and awareness of Health and Safety Previous experience using power tools Previous experience in labouring/handyman or a similar role This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced out side environment.
