IT Business Systems Support Analyst (1st Line) X 2 - Bridgwater / Hinkley Point C - £25,000-£40,000 - Permanent


We are looking for 2 talented and dedicated IT Business Systems Support Analyst (1st Line) to join our team at Bridgwater / Hinkley Point C. We are looking for either an entry level graduate or candidates with 1+ years experience. You must be eligible for SC clearance to apply for this position.


In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and supporting our IT systems, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved promptly and effectively. You will be a key point of contact for IT support, providing expert assistance and troubleshooting across various systems and applications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for a variety of IT business systems, including those related to engineering, construction, work orders, HR, ERP, and other critical applications that support the operations of a nuclear power station. Ensure all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively to minimise downtime and disruption.
  • Manage and resolve support tickets, prioritising tasks based on urgency and impact, while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and escalate when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor IT systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability, including conducting routine maintenance and updates.
  • Assist with the implementation of new IT solutions, ensuring they are integrated smoothly with existing systems.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on best practices and new technologies, ensuring they are equipped to use systems effectively.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to align support efforts with broader technology initiatives.
  • Document all support processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain up-to-date records for future reference.
  • Continuously identify areas for improvement within the IT support function, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on ticket status, system health, and other key metrics.


Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience in an IT support role, with a strong track record of resolving technical issues.
  • Willingness to work onsite at Bridgwater & Hinkley Point C
  • In-depth knowledge of IT business systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • You must be eligible for SC clearance to apply for this position
