Job Vacancy: PE Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: South Manchester Start Date: After October Half Term Contract: Maternity Cover Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated PE teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking a passionate and dynamic PE Teacher to join our partner secondary school in Manchester, starting after the October half term. This is a maternity cover position in a school rated 'Good' by OFSTED, providing a great environment for both students and staff. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons to students aged 11-16 * Promote physical well-being and a love of sports across all ability levels * Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum * Encourage participation in extracurricular activities and sports clubs * Work collaboratively with the PE department and contribute to team initiatives * Monitor and support students’ progress, providing constructive feedback * Maintain a positive, safe, and disciplined learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will: * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent * Have experience teaching PE at secondary level * Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Be passionate about physical education and student well-being * Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities * Be committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment If you're ready to make a positive contribution to our school and inspire the next generation through physical education, we would love to hear from you!
