Job Requirements / Description
Rugby County Council - 12 Month on-going contract. Housing Services Manager The post holder will take the lead in the operational delivery of the Council’s housing service and will be responsible for: Housing (both tenancy and estate) management for the Housing Revenue Account portfolio of properties, including the Independent Living Service and the Council owned Gypsy and Traveller site. In doing so, they will Oversee the management of the Council’s housing management function to ensure excellent, value for money, service delivery in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. Lead by example in facilitating a responsive and empathetic service which puts the customer first and has a focus on tenancy sustainment. Nurture the motivation and development of the teams, whilst being decisive in tackling behaviours which do not accord with our corporate values. Understand the performance of the service and identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation, and development, for the benefit of customers and to ensure a healthy Housing Revenue Account. Develop and maintain positive relationships with elected members in compliance with the corporate Officer & Member protocol. Form part of the Homes and Communities Management Team, as well as the Corporate Management Team, and in doing so will be a key collaborative player in supporting the Council to achieve better outcomes for the people of Rugby.
