We’re looking for a Head of Communications to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.Reporting to our COO, you’ll lead our communications strategy, both internally and externally across our UK and Malaysia studios. This role will also encompass the leadership of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, ensuring our company’s values and commitments are effectively communicated and upheld. If you have a passion for gaming, a strategic mindset and a proven track record in corporate communications and exposure to CSR leadership, we’d love to hear from you.This role requires a hands-on approach, stepping in to perform tasks directly when necessary and supporting teams where needed.As a global gaming company, we've enabled millions to conquer Minecraft Dungeons, battle in Rust Console Edition and create new adventures in Fallout 76.Recently, we collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as well as partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.Double Eleven is a place where our people come first. comprehensive communications strategy that enhances the company’s brand and reputation in the gaming industryOversee all external communications including press releases, media relations, social media and content marketingServe as the primary spokesperson for the company, managing media inquiries and public appearancesInternal Communications:Lead internal communications to ensure alignment and engagement among all 450 employees across the UK and Kuala LumpurCreate and implement communication plans that keep employees informed and motivatedDevelop and manage internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet and any company wide comms eventsCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR):Develop and lead the company’s CSR strategy, ensuring alignment with company values and stakeholder expectationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CSR initiatives into business operationsCommunicate the company’s CSR activities and achievements both internally and externallyHands-On Leadership:Step in to perform communications tasks directly when there are gaps in the team or during high-demand periodsProvide hands-on support for critical projects and initiatives, ensuring high-quality output and timely deliveryMentor and train team members, fostering a culture of learning and developmentLeadership and Management:Manage the communications team, providing guidance, support and professional development opportunitiesWork closely with senior leadership to align communication strategies with business goalsMonitor and analyse communication metrics to assess effectiveness and make data-driven improvementsWhat we’re looking forSignificant experience in corporate communications, public relations or a related fieldDemonstrated people management experienceProven experience in developing and executing successful communication strategiesStrong understanding of the gaming industry or similar creative industry and its unique communication challenges preferredDemonstrated experience in CSR strategy development and implementationExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiencesStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadershipProficiency in communication tools and platformsWillingness and ability to be hands-on and step in to perform tasks directly when necessaryQualificationsA masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field preferredWhat to expectSome
