The legal team takes pride in thinking differently and providing commercial solutions to clients on a live basis.ROLEWe are looking for an ambitious Lawyer qualified in the UK or in an overseas jurisdiction, who is looking for a varied role that will offer a broad range of experience with firms across financial services. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in private equity with experience of the entire fund cycle including due diligence, fund launches (ideally multiple jurisdictions) as well as familiarity with industry standard practice and documentation. A working knowledge across alternative investment funds and investment management more generally is helpful.The right candidate will be honest, driven and committed to contributing to the team’s and clients’ success. This role is a brilliant opportunity for a driven candidate looking to take their career to the next level.RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will work collaboratively within the team to undertake varied legal work (i.e. contracts, advice, policies etc) across private equity and investment management.SKILLS AND ABILITIESLaw degree;Current practising certificate;At least 5 years’ legal work experience in the jurisdiction you hold a practising certificate in private equity;English language proficiency;Independent, resourceful, and confident with great problem-solving skills;Adept at building relationships internally and externally;Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management, staff and clients located in different jurisdictions;Proactive, able to take the initiative and anticipate the firm’s and client’s needs;Ability to work effectively with a range of personality types and seniority levels;Highly motivated self-starter with a history of pushing for deadline-driven results;Ability to jump in and support the team when/where needed;Lead and be one step ahead, constantly thinking about what needs to be done next to improve efficiency for the team and our clients;Ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;Ability to work autonomously where required, meet deadlines and handle queries from inside and outside the company;Ability to commute to our offices in London as this is an in-office role with flexible working policy; andA mac laptop as we operate a BYOA(pple) policy to allow for maximum agility.LOCATIONThis is an in-office role based in London Bridge.
