Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our in-house development team dedicated to advancing our established and commercially successful SaaS platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform, driving innovation, and maintaining our competitive edge in the commercial transport and logistics market.
As a key contributor to the expansion of our development team, you will need to commute to the office for a minimum of three days each week.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a senior/leading/pivotal role the design, development, and enhancement of our proven SaaS software platform using C# and ASP.NET Core.
- Collaborate closely with the business team to translate business requirements into scalable and reliable technical solutions.
- Design and implement new features and functionalities to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Help to establish and uphold software quality standards through rigorous code reviews, testing strategies, and documentation practices.
- Participate in the growth of our development team by assisting in hiring processes and contributing to team-building activities.
Key Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- Proficiency in C# 11+ and extensive experience with ASP.NET Core 6+.
- Strong track record of developing and maintaining commercially successful SaaS applications.
- Expertise in SQL databases and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure
Desirable
- Good understanding of cloud-native and serverless PaaS platforms.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative software development practices.
- Experience with Entity Framework (EF) Core 6+.
- Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Understanding of various architectural patterns such as Event-driven, Vertical Slice, Clean Architecture, Modular Monolith, and Microservices Architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD practices using DevOps Pipelines and/or Github Actions.
- Container technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, with a focus on delivering successful commercial solutions.
- Proven ability to drive technical initiatives from conception to successful deployment in a commercial environment.
