Job Title: Injection Moulding Technician Location: Barlborough, UK Salary: £35,392 per annum Shift Pattern: 24/7 - Rotational Shift (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off) Our client, a leading multinational organisation specialising in the manufacture and supply of packaging components for the Aerosol and Luxury Packaging industries, is seeking an Injection Moulding Technician to join their growing team. Based at their Barlborough site, this role offers the chance to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, modern manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate Injection Moulding and Actuator assembly production lines on a rotational basis. Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet customer specifications, maintaining accurate and timely records. Conduct preventative and technical maintenance, including equipment cleaning, lubrication, and system checks. Undertake breakdown repairs and reactive maintenance on automated assembly lines, packaging, and palletisation equipment. Install new machinery and modify existing equipment as required. Operate and maintain the material conveyance system (Motan) and chiller systems. Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to enhance efficiency and productivity. Promote safe working practices and adhere to the company's 'clean as you go' policy. Support stock takes and any other reasonable requests from management. Key Skills & Experience: Experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance is advantageous. Ability to read technical diagrams, drawings, and manuals. Proven ability to fault find down to component level. Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a manufacturing setting. Awareness of quality and hygiene standards relevant to the manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently, especially outside office hours, ensuring safety and responsibility. Analytical mindset with competent computer skills. Eagerness to develop personal skills in line with company progression opportunities. Flexibility to provide cover for holidays, absence, and training. Physical Requirements: Ability to handle boxes and pallets up to 10kg in weight, adhering to HSE guidelines on manual handling.
