Category Buyer

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading real estate services firm, for an experienced Category Buyer/Procurement Manager to join their industry-leading Asset Services team. About the Role: This position will be responsible for managing specific categories of spend, overseeing contract management, supplier relationships, and supplier performance. Acting as a key point of contact within the organization for category management, you will collaborate with the Category Manager, Procurement Manager, and various business unit stakeholders to deliver client-focused procurement solutions. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full contract lifecycle, including negotiations with suppliers, ensuring effective category management within the portfolio Lead tenders and perform detailed tender analysis Conduct financial analysis and benchmarking to ensure best value procurement Monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure contract compliance Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and facilities managers Serve as a key point of contact for dispute resolution Oversee the performance of third-party vetting consultants Experience & Qualifications: 2-5 years of procurement and supply management experience Experience in Property or Facilities Management (FM) is preferred Professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS, with evidence of ongoing professional development Expertise in procurement/contract management of soft and/or hard services, facilities, or property management is desirable Strong knowledge of contract law and its application in purchasing Proven experience in contract negotiation and managing contractor performance Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders Proficiency in MS Office, combined with strong numerical and analytical capabilities This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking team in a leading real estate firm, offering excellent career progression
