Broking Team Lead

IDEX are bringing this newly created position to the market on behalf of one of our corporate broking client partners. This Broking Team Lead position will give you a brilliant balance of people management and technical insurance work, which is rarely available in the Glasgow market. Here you’ll be joining an established broking team who service clients predominantly in the £20k - £100k income range with some much larger global clientele also handled through this site. The team has grown headcount by 25% in the past 12 months, driven mainly through client acquisition on the back of the unique joined-up culture in this organization. And as part of this growth, a brand-new remit has been created for you to play a Team Lead role to the established handling team. You’ll be looking after between 4 and 6 full-time Client Advisors, all experienced professionals who manage much of the day-to-day service activity. As Team Lead, you’ll be the focal point of the team, leading from the front to get the very best out of your team through coaching, training and helping inspire them to really unlock their potential. Day to day you’ll lead on key client work, project delivery and managing complex referrals whilst managing your team’s performance, appraisals and coaching. You’ll be working on a hybrid basis splitting your time between home and the centrally located offices and the salary is up to around £65,000 plus extensive benefits. Ideally, you’ll have a background in corporate broking from either a regional or national brokerage and be comfortable in your level of technical broking skills. Naturally, some experience in a supervisor, senior or team lead role already will be very welcome.
