About the Role The Higher Education team at GC Education and Skills are seeking two enthusiastic tutors to join our dynamic team . This exciting opportunity involves developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our students, contributing to their academic success and personal growth. Key Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Development: Deliver engaging lectures and seminars to students on our Access to Higher Education courses in one or more of these subjects - Health and Social Care, Business, and Psychology. Design and update curriculum content to ensure it remains current and relevant. Student Support: Provide academic support and mentorship to students, including guidance on coursework and research projects. Set and review developmental objectives to facilitate their learning journey. Assessment: Mark and assess students' work, providing constructive feedback to help them improve. Participate in the development and implementation of assessment strategies. Engagement Activities: Participate in university open days, orientation sessions, and other events to support student recruitment and retention. Quality Assurance: Engage in internal quality assurance activities, including peer observations, curriculum reviews, and compliance with awarding body standards and policies. Professional Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of your specialist subject areas and participate in ongoing professional development. About You Educational Qualifications: A minimum of an Honours degree in a relevant subject area (Health and Social Care, Business, Psychology) is required. A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Diploma in Education and Training) or a commitment to obtaining one is required. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience in a further or higher education setting. Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Ability to create innovative and engaging learning materials. Proficient in using digital learning platforms and e-learning tools. Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
