Complete your application using the "Apply" button, this will take you directly to the GAP website.The Role:Our Tanker Services division provides a variety of waste services from small portable toilets to much larger industrial projects such as septic tanks to a range of customers across the country and, as a growing division we are looking for a Senior Regional Tanker Driver to join our busy Midlands region.As a Senior Regional Tanker Driver you will be responsible for the removal of waste from customer sites and the delivery of non-potable water. The driver must ensure that tankers are in a safe working position prior to the emptying of toilets and ensure that they are emptied in a safe working manner, following all environmental and H&S regulations.Based out of a local depot you will travel throughout the region covering for sickness and holidays, or where additional resource is required. You will also be responsible for training new and existing 26t Tanker Drivers on safe delivery of non-potable water and collection of liquid waste.Within this role, you will also supervise a team of 26t tanker drivers within a defined region. You will work closely with the logistics team and head of tanker services to motivate and develop the team to create a customer-focussed approach, whilst ensuring training is fully up to date and processes are adhered to at all times.Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:Significant experience working within an HGV driving roleExperience working within the Welfare industry is desirableClass 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed and valid Digital Tachograph cardPeople supervision experience within the driving/hire industry is preferableAn understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplaceExcellent customer service skills and the ability to manage customer queries in a professional mannerExperience working within the Welfare industry is desirableExperience in managementFrom one division, GAP Hire Solutions now has 10 divisions offering the hire of equipment throughout the UK.
