About the Role: The Ideal Candidate Will: Manage Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and construction-related agreements with precision and expertise. Collaborate Effectively: Work seamlessly with internal teams and external counsels on a variety of legal matters, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients. Exhibit Leadership: Demonstrate leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and developing junior staff members. Maintain High Standards: Show meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to excellence in all tasks. Possess Commercial Acumen: Be driven by ambition and possess a strong understanding of commercial and construction law principles. Responsibilities: Legal Support: Provide robust legal support to various internal departments and external clients, focusing on construction and commercial law matters. Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional and construction agreements, ensuring all documentation is thorough and compliant. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks and conflicts proactively to safeguard client interests. Client Engagement: Engage daily with international clients and counterparts across the UK, Europe, the US, LATAM, and APAC regions, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Collaboration: Work closely with solicitors and external counsels to coordinate legal strategies and deliver comprehensive solutions for clients. Research and Analysis: Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support case preparation and contract negotiations. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client specifications. Qualifications: Legal Qualification: Qualified Paralegal with substantial experience in commercial and construction law. Paralegal certifications or equivalent are preferred. Experience: Proven experience in a commercial paralegal role within the construction sector, handling complex contracts and legal documentation. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly and concisely. Ethical Standards: High integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and trust. Independent Working: Ability to work independently in a remote or flexible setting, demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills.
