Quality Inspector

Our client, based in Newcastle, is looking for a Quality Inspector to join their Manufacturing team. Hours of work would be 07.00am - 4.45pm Monday to Thursday. The purpose of the role is to inspect all finished parts using equipment such as Verniers, Micrometers, PI tapes and CMM or FARO. In addition, patrol inspection of processes and product quality. Duties and Responsibilities: * Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts * Logging direct activities onto ERP system * Communication of quality failures to relevant department and managers * Process auditing * Undertake First Article Inspection Reports activities in accordance with internal processes * Calibration of measuring equipment * To support the supply chain to both internal and external customers * Signing first and last inspection reports * Reporting of non-conforming parts and ensuring containment is completed * To ensure zero defects reach the end user * Ensure all work is to the standard of AD Merkblatt AD2000 (where required) Requirements: * Must be able to operate a CMM * Ideally have experience using any of the following equipment; Verniers, Micrometers, PI tapes or FARO * Have a sound Quality/Inspection background * Experience in a similar role * Exceptional communication skills * Punctual and team player * Strong attention to detail Other benefits: * Pension – Match up to 6% * Production bonus each quarter (performance related so not guaranteed) Due to the high volume of candidates responding to our adverts unfortunately we are not always able to provide individual feedback.
