Practice Accountant Location: Enfield, EN1 1SJ Salary: £24,000 to £32,000, DOE Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: 9am to 5.00pm Benefits • Standard 20 days + bank holiday entitlement • NEST pension scheme provided • Potential end of year bonus dependent on company performance Tax expertise, Xero and QuickBooks are a must for this role! Our client is a well-established company in the Accounting and Taxation industry and they are looking for a Practice Accountant to join their team and demonstrate their great work ethic and passion for the industry. You will need to be detail oriented with some relevant experience to truly thrive in this environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal regulations. Practice Accountant – The Role: Tasks will be varied and may change as required by the demands of the business, but general duties will include: • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process • Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month • Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings • Organising payroll duties using BrightPay • General administrative duties around the office, responding to emails and answering the phone Practice Accountant – Skills and Experience: • A higher education qualification is not required but would be beneficial • At least 2 years of experience working in accounting or a related field is expected • Experience with Xero and QuickBooks is a must • Possessing great communication skills both written and spoken • Experience using BrightPay would be an advantage If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on “Apply” today and forward an up to date copy of your CV along with a Covering Letter for consideration in the first instance.
