Our customer, a global law firm is seeking a 4-5 PQE UK Qualified Employment Lawyer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of employment law matters, with a focus on both contentious and transactional work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tribunal Litigation: Handle a full range of tribunal cases, covering all aspects of employment law, with the potential for advocacy at preliminary hearings.
- Advisory Role: Provide expert advice to Human Resource Managers, In-house Counsel, Managing Directors, and other senior personnel on various employee relations issues.
- Policy and Contract Drafting: Draft, review, and advise on HR policies, employment contracts, and directors' service agreements to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Negotiation for High Net Worth Individuals: Represent high net worth clients in negotiating service agreements, team moves, or termination arrangements.
- International Employment Law Advisory: Advise internationally based clients on UK employment law and coordinate international projects and legal advice.
- High Court Proceedings: Manage high court proceedings relating to business protection for employers and employees.
- Corporate Support: Act as the sole employment specialist in corporate transactions, providing expert support (excluding pensions) to facilitate seamless business operations.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications: Must be UK Qualified with an active Bar Licence.
- Experience: Proven experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, with a focus on providing tailored solutions to meet client needs.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
