Test Technician

Position: Lab Technician Location: Sandy Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Sandy. Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Lab Technician to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work. Experience, qualifications Experience of developing & testing refrigerated display cabinets - remote & integral, HFC & CO2 Able to work unsupervised on cabinet development, including installation & removal of cabinets from labs, removal of parts & replacement with alternatives, fitting & setting of expansion valves, solenoid valves, probes etc. Fitting & setting up of electronic controllers Understanding of vapour compression refrigeration systems - HFC, A2L, CO2 Understanding of secondary refrigeration systems - glycol, pumped CO2, water loop etc Drawing literacy Experience of refrigerated cabinet servicing desirable Experience of packaged refrigeration plant (packs) advantageous - HFC, A2L, CO2 Recognised relevant qualification(s) desirable - not essential with right experience Understanding & design experience of wiring circuits / diagrams Qualities Good communication skills Open to new ideas & technologies Positive attitude Ability to 'think outside the box' Dedicated & reliable Willing to embrace change Knowledge, understanding or experience desirable in most of the following standards, procedures & disciplines (training may be given where relevant for the right candidate) - EN23953 pt2 EN378 EN60335 MS Office literate FGAS certified Safe handling certificate for inflammable refrigerants Experience of brazing refrigeration pipework up to 80 bar ps If you are interested in this position, please apply with a copy of your CV & a member of our team will be in touch to discuss the opportunity with you in further detail.
