You'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors, supporting clients with a range of ecology services. Your responsibilities will include conducting protected species surveys, coordinating mitigation projects, advising clients on regulatory requirements, preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports, and leading a team of ecologists to deliver cost-effective project solutions. Oversee and mentor junior staff, review technical work, and ensure high-quality report drafting. Play a key role in business development by preparing costings, tendering for projects, and identifying opportunities for growth and diversification.Ecologist Requirements A relevant degree and 3+ years of professional experience. Strong knowledge of UK and European environmental legislation. Proven experience in fieldwork and report writing Full membership (or eligibility) of CIEEM and a full UK driving licence. Holding a Natural England protected species licence (e.g., Bat Class 2 or GCN Class 1). Experience with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).Interested in this or other roles in Ecology?
