IT Support Engineer

Job Title: IT Support Engineer Job Type: Permanent Salary: £22k-£25k Location: Preston Are you a IT Support Engineer looking for a new challenge role? This fast-growing IT Support and Managed Services Provider, based in Preston we are looking for an IT Support engineer to join the team. As it is an IT Managed Service Provider, there will be lots of opportunities to get hands-on experience with a lot of different technology. As the IT Support Engineer, your duties will include; * Assisting Service Desk to provide remote support * Configuration of new equipment ready for client installs * Raising support tickets through to completion * Working alongside Operation Manager and Director to assist with ongoing projects * Installation and configuration of a variety of Hardware, Software and Applications etc As an IT Support Engineer, your skills and experience should consist of: * 1-2 years’ experience working as an IT Support Engineer or in a similar role * Good communication skills with strong knowledge * IT troubleshooting skills and basic hardware understanding would be beneficial * Windows Server Active Directory Environments (e.g. group policy administration, account management and other common server services – 2019 +) * A good understanding of Windows Desktops and apps, specifically Windows 10/11 * General networking knowledge and an understanding of Firewalls / Routers and Virtualisation (e.g. Hyper-V) As an IT Support Engineer, you can expect a salary of £22,000 - £25,000, plus the following benefits… * Company Pension * Learning Opportunities * Fantastic company culture and social events * Regular pay reviews * Onsite parking * Wellbeing Package * 24/7 telephone and online GP for you and your family * Virtual physio at your fingertips * Discounted Gym membership + virtual gym classes * Shopping discounts * Online training courses If you have the desire to work in an ambitious company and are able to deliver operational excellence then this role is made for you
