Electronic/Electrical R&D Engineer

Salary: Circa 55K - 58K, depending on skill level and experience

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electronic/Electrical R&D Engineer to support their R&D and Manufacturing activities. This is a permanent position based in the Midlands, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and update electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
- Support new and existing products, including high-power and high-voltage switched-mode power supplies and control electronics.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing and Quality teams to address current issues and develop solutions.
- Conduct testing and development throughout the product life cycle, ensuring conformance with Electromagnetic Compatibility regulations and relevant electrical safety standards.
- Utilize ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram generation.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in hardware (analogue and digital) electronic engineering.
- Broad knowledge of high-voltage components such as power supplies, DC-DC converters, inverters, and chargers.
- Proficient in the use of ECAD software for schematic capture, PCB layout, and wiring diagram generation.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components and assemblies.
