Job Description
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
* Working with Xero Software.
* Match purchase orders (POs) to supplier invoices accurately.
* Input supplier and subcontractor invoices into Xero.
* Verify CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) deductions.
* Reconcile invoices with statements.
* Organise client and supplier accounts efficiently.
* Conduct bank reconciliation.
* Manage financial paperwork and electronic filing.
* Prepare payments and assist with administrative tasks.
* Proactively chase outstanding payments
* Perform general office administration, including making phone calls and organising tasks.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
* Proficiency in using Xero or similar accounting software.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
* Knowledge of CIS and experience in a similar industry is desirable
