About the Company:

We are seeking skilled GRP Laminators to join our team in Peterborough, working on marine projects. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) lamination, specifically within the marine industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for immediate work with excellent pay rates and the possibility of overtime.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• GRP Laminating: Perform high-quality GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) lamination, ensuring adherence to strict safety and quality standards.
• Layup Processes: Execute hand layup processes and/or spray layup for manufacturing components.
• Mold Preparation: Prepare molds by cleaning, waxing, and applying release agents to ensure a smooth lamination process.
• Trimming and Finishing: Trim, grind, and sand laminated components to precise dimensions and finish quality using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Fiberglass Application: Cut, lay, and position fiberglass cloth and mats, ensuring proper resin application and eliminating air bubbles for a smooth surface.
• Quality Control: Inspect and repair any defects or imperfections in the laminate, ensuring that all components meet industry standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside other laminators, supervisors, and production teams to meet project deadlines and ensure smooth workflow.
• Health & Safety: Follow all company health and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• GRP Marine Experience: Essential – Candidates must have previous experience working with GRP laminating within the marine industry.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Physical Stamina: This is a physically demanding role requiring standing, bending, and lifting.
• Trade Test: Required unless you have worked with the company recently.
• Right to Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
