Responsible for the development and evaluation of therapeutic interventions and psychology, they will deliver relevant forms of therapy in partnership with clients, carers and other professionals in line with agreed standards and clinical polices. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the daily Orri therapy programme and they will be expected to be closely involved in discharge planning. The post holder will work with clients using evidence based and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, which provide clients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living. Provide specialist psychological assessments of clients to the team, based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of data from a variety of sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the clients care. • To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the formulation and implementation of plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health. • Form professional relationships with members of the MDT and work alongside other professionals to deliver therapeutic interventions to the young people and families. • Attend regular clinical professional supervision at Orri and, where appropriate, other senior professional colleagues. • This training may be for students or colleagues form other disciplines. Hold a post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS & have eligibility for chartered status with the BPS. • Ideally a minimum of 2 years post qualification with experience of delivering individual and group therapies. • Maintains professional portfolio for CPD recording learning outcomes through participation in internal and external development opportunities. • Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal. • Ability to work without direct supervision.
