Senior Structural Engineer

We are currently working with a reputable, employee-owned engineering consultancy as they look to add a Chartered Structural Engineer to their 35 strong building structures team in Edinburgh. You will work in a team of 11 that consists of a Director, Senior Associate, 3 experienced structural engineers, 2 graduates and 3 technicians. You will be a will be a Chartered Structural Engineer that can run several projects, mentor junior team members and produce high quality engineering designs. The Edinburgh team has a project pipeline consisting of the following Small scale (residential, educational projects for Edinburgh council). Large Net-Zero Heriot Watt project (involved throughout construction phase). Royal High School redevelopment. Links View and Cables Wind retrofit. Various distilleries. Glenfinnan Viaduct. This multi-disciplinary firm has been creating innovative and sustainable designs in the UK and globally for nearly 50 years, further emphasizing their ability to punch above their weight and compete with the bigger firms. ABOUT YOU Must be Chartered with a recognised institution. Strong Tekla skills. Experience with Masterseries. Knowledge of FEA software such as SCIA. Background of managing and delivering various projects successfully. Ideally experienced mentoring juniors. ON OFFER £45,000 - £55,000 Per annum. 35-hour work week with flexible, hybrid working. 5% matched pension. Annual salary reviews. Company bonus (bi-annually). Life assurance (3x salary). 26 days annual leave + 7 days fixed over Christmas period. Income protection (50% of salary)
