Our specialist manufacturing division designs and produces bespoke protective packaging solutions which are designed exclusively for customers in safeguarding their products in transit. Customers span several key sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Industrial and Medical.  The Sales Coordinator Role This role is pivotal in facilitating communication between our customers and internal departments such as production, purchasing, planning, and logistics. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth order processing, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and supporting sales growth initiatives. Operating from within our office environment, you shall engage with our customers, providing exemplary service while assisting both internal and external sales teams. This role offers a great opportunity for growth, with potential for future career progression into an account management role. In time, there is potential to balance office-based responsibilities with some face-to-face interaction with clients, making this a dynamic and varied position.  Sales Coordinator Responsibilities Efficiently process sales administration tasks and customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Maintain proactive communication and building relationships with customers, addressing enquiries promptly and professionally. Utilise CRM systems to manage sales leads, enquiries, and quotations effectively. Collaborate closely with internal departments, including planning, production, and logistics, to facilitate smooth order fulfilment. Liaise with the purchasing team to ensure timely procurement of materials necessary for order processing. Work collaboratively with the credit control department to resolve customer queries promptly. Prioritisation of customer orders to ensure timely fulfilment. Identification of opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling to maximise revenue. Selection of appropriate communication channels to engage with customers effectively. Management of administrative tasks to optimise sales processes. Collaboration with internal teams to address customer needs and resolve issues proactively. In time, the role can also develop into having more of a sales focus to include proactively targeting lapsed accounts and conducting outbound sales efforts to secure new business customers. What you will bring To successfully apply for this role, you will require the following skills/experience…   Essential: Previous experience in a similarly fast paced coordination role. Strong customer service and communication skills. Proficiency in office administration tasks and CRM systems. Proactive nature with the ability to identify and pursue commercial opportunities. Attention to detail and collaborative mindset for effective cross-functional teamwork. Desirable: Experience in a production, design, or manufacturing environment. Prior internal sales experience including outbound calling/sales generation Well-rounded computing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
