Marketing Manager

Location: Cardiff

Full time, permanent

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Salary: 40,000 to 45,000, dependent on experience

This role will suit someone who is self-motivated, resilient, ready for a challenge and not afraid to roll their sleeves up to get the job done whilst having the strategic vision to scope and achieve organisational objectives.

We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to lead and grow our in-house marketing team and agency partners.

You will be based in Cardiff, with some flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel to other branches and representing the business at trade shows will be required.

The business:

Established for over 20 years in the supply of DIY/trade products for the building and maintenance sector, currently operating out of four branches.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing the in-house marketing team and liaising with an outside design agency.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing marketing strategies to drive business growth, across our B2B and B2C customers.
  • Create engaging content for various marketing channels including social media, email campaigns, website, etc.
  • Analysing market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop promotional materials that support sales objectives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Managing relationships with key partners to drive sales and deliver mutual benefit.
  • Organising events and attending trade shows.

What you'll need:

  • Marketing degree or equivalent, by qualification or experience.
  • Significant experience in an in-house marketing role, with B2B and B2C marketing and brand management experience.
  • Experience of delivering marketing projects, on time and in budget.
  • Experience of co-marketing, with suppliers and vendors.
  • Experience of organising events and/or trade shows.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing, planning and executing marketing campaigns that drive business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Motivation to succeed and deliver results.
  • A sense of humour.
