Junior Project Engineer / UK Travel / Salary Based on Experience (£30,000 - £45,000)
Position 1 Recruitment is looking for a Project Engineer to join our client s engineering team. This role involves traveling across the UK to support various projects.
As a Project Engineer, you will manage operations at the project site, ensure that teams have the necessary equipment and materials to meet deadlines, and handle project documentation and reporting for both internal management and customers. The role involves traveling 1-3 days per week, with the possibility of extended stays for projects located further away.
Responsibility:
- Site Management: Work on multiple sites to ensure that teams are fully equipped with the necessary tools, resources to enable projects to run smoothly, order materials / consumables for the project after leasing with onsite contacts.
- Documentation: Complete project paperwork and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Technical Skills: Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately and produce progress report charts
- Communication: Liaise effectively with engineers and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of plant room / Steam System installation or systems.
A successful Project Engineer should have experience in project engineering and a strong understanding of plant room installations, including heat and steam systems or transferable skills. You should be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and communicate effectively with suppliers, engineers, and customers.
A valid CSCS Gold Card or at least a Black Card is required, along with an engineering diploma or equivalent qualification/experience.
These are full-time, permanent role with hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM (flexible on hours). The position offers 28 days including the bank holidays, with an additional day for each year served up to 5 years.
Overtime is available, with weekend work paid at 5 hours for 1-5 hours worked and 10 hours for over 6 hours. Travel costs are covered after 1 hour of driving, and candidates are paid their hourly rate for travel time. Overnight stays include a £35 inconvenience payment, with hotel, dinner, and breakfast covered.
