Job Advertisement: Behaviour Mentor Location: Brent, London Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: ASAP Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the skills and dedication to support students in overcoming barriers to their learning and personal development? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Behaviour Mentor in a vibrant secondary school in Brent! Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs Develop and implement strategies to help students improve their behaviour, self-regulation, and engagement in lessons Work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create individual behaviour plans tailored to each student's needs Build positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor to encourage positive behaviour and academic progress Support the school's behaviour policies and help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment Monitor and report on students' progress, adapting interventions as necessary Requirements: Experience working with young people, particularly vulnerable children or those with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with challenging behaviour Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training will be provided if necessary) Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Ongoing professional development and training opportunities A supportive and collaborative school environment The opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young peopleThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping students thrive, both academically and personally.
