Solar Electrician - Commercial and Industrial Solar Up to £50,000 + benefits Cambridge - will require a lot of travel About the role: Astute's Renewables Team is proudly partnering with an ambitious, motivated and growing business in the UK's Solar sector. They're a dynamic, forward-thinking and proactive business who have strategic and realistic plans to make significant waves in the UK's commercial and industrial solar space. This Lead Electrician / Solar Technician role comes with a starting salary of circa £52,000 plus overnight allowances, mileage covered and ongoing development. Responsibilities and duties: Leading and overseeing commercial electrical installs Leading and managing the team on a daily basis to ensure a premium delivery to the client Coordinating with the mechanical team to ensure perfect cable management and penetration sealing Mentoring an assistant, or Support Technician to upskill them Ensuring perfect health and safety practices on site Installing systems from a size of 20kw at the very smallest to (up to) 1MW at the very highest Wiring, testing and completing the systems Being the direct client interface when on site, if required Travelling outside of area for business need, spending up to a week away at a time if absolutely necessary (with nightly allowances if this is the case) Other duties as requiredProfessional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following: Level 3 in electrical installation Valid test and inspection qualifications (2391 or equivalent) AM2 ECS Gold Card (preferred) SMSTS or SSSTS is desirable A relevant Solar PV qualification is desirable UK driving licencePersonal skills: The Solar Electrician role would suit someone who is: Technical and enjoys the detail A great relationship builder Willing to travel Salary and benefits of the Solar Electrician role: £45,000 - £50,000 salary Pension 25 days holiday plus BH Mileage expenses Shared use of company van How to apply?
