Management Accountant

Title: Managemet Accountant (ACAA or CIMA) Location: Almondsbury, Bristol Salary: £42,000 to £48,000 + benefits + free parking Sector: Construction contractor (CIS experience required) Start Date: ASAP The Company: Our client is a culture focused, financially secure and fast growing construction specilaist contractor with an established client base. The company has a strong regional presence within the South West from their head office in Almondsbury. Management Accountant - The Role: A fantastic opportunity to join an established company in a varied and interesting role. The role has the rare future opportunity of progressing to Head of Finance as the current HOF has set retirement plans. Reporting to the Head of Finance, key duties of the Management Accountant include; * Completion of Monthly and Annual Management Accounts. * Liaison with external Accountants. * Preparation and input of monthly journals including accruals, prepayments and depreciation. * Monthly WIP evaluation. * Balance Sheet reconciliations and management. * Reporting financial information to Directors. * Cash flow forecasting and daily cash management. * Management of two Accounts Assistants. * Annual Budget setting and monthly monitoring. * Contract cost and profitability reporting * Weekly processing of supplier payments. * Monthly Contract Application for Payment processing, funding and credit control. * Payroll management including, completion of monthly payroll data for submission to Payroll Bureau, processing payments of wages, HMRC and Pension deductions. Completion of Statutory Returns including P45 and P46 (Car) and P11D. * CIS return completion and submission (cover if peole are away) * Monthly VAT return completion and submission. * Insurance renewals and claims. * Other ad-hoc tasks. Management Accountant - The Person * ACAA or CIMA Qualified * Proficiency in accounting software * Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records. * Knowledge of the Construction sector and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) . * Ability to mentor and guide accounts team members. * 2 years + experience as Management Accountant * Team player with a willingness to play a hands-on role.
