I am currently working alongside a well renwoned machinery manufacturer based in Shipley looking to add a Production Scheduling Coordinator to their team. Each one of their machines is tailored to be customer specific, making them a real market leader in what they do. The company are currently going through an exciting period of growth and the scheduler's role will be detrimental to ensuring their goals are reached. Job Purpose We are looking to recruit a Production Scheduling Co-ordinator to join the team in Shipley. This role will be responsible for using outputs from the MRP2 process, co-ordinating tasks required to complete and to fulfil customer orders and projects on time. You will interact and influence tasks performed by Sales, Design, Engineering, Production Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Stores, Assembly and Despatch. Essential Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate efficiency and accuracy using MRP2. Competence in Microsoft Office software applications is essential (Excel / Word / Outlook). The ideal candidate will have scheduling/Supply Chain experience, along with knowledge of bills of materials, routings, part types, purchase order and sales orders, preferably having worked in a scheduling support or transactional background. Primary responsibilities will involve extensive liaison with key departments, such as Sales, during the quote phase, providing lead time estimates and ensuring engineering meet target issue dates and checking data integrity of part set up. In addition, you will ensure Production Engineering action Make/Buy decisions in time, and produce routings for Make parts to enable production works orders to be started on time. Producing Schedules for Bar Stores and Casting Stores, along with MRP Exception Listing spreadsheet, you’ll liaise with Finance to perform standard cost build ups on Make parts, to enable Production Works Orders to be produced. Candidate Overview The ideal candidate will have an organised approach and a 'can-do' attitude necessary to demonstrate enthusiasm to enable you to communicate effectively whilst working to tight deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills to communicate with various stakeholders both internal and external to the business; together with strong verbal and written skills, problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively within, and across, project teams. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high quality of work, adaptability, make sound judgements and take initiative. Hours, Package, and further details This role is full time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday on the admin flexi pattern. The starting salary for this role currently equates to £32,000.
