An exciting opportunity exists for a Quantity Surveyor to join our thriving Bristol Branch for works across Gloucestershire, Somerset, South Wales and Wiltshire. Job Purpose/Background: Qualified Quantity Surveyor with a background within construction contracts, refurbishment or void contract required to manage and control all financial and technical aspects of contracts including procurement, invoicing and payment to minimise costs & maximise value. The surveyor is fully responsible for the financial performance of the project through to collection of cash. Key Responsibilities: · Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders · Take responsibility of projects from inception to completion · Identify areas to improve margin · Cost management · Target creation · CVR reporting and forecasting · Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts · Producing and submitting applications for payment · Understand Health & Safety requirements · Develop and maintain subcontract and supplier contracts Knowledge / Experience: · Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent · Previous experience of construction/retrofit or fabric upgrades are preferred however not essential · Previous experience of working with bill of quants, schedules of rates, design and build contracts etc. · Experience with passive fire protection works advantageous · Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors · Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting · Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative · Experienced with direct and subcontract labour · Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines · Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team · Strong IT skills, particularly Excel We offer an opportunity to work on some of the UKs most exciting refurbishment projects, in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges Benefits include, but not limited to: · Competitive salary based on skillset and experience - Min. £45,000 · 31 holidays including public holidays which increases with length of service · Opportunity to buy and sell holidays · Company bonus scheme · Car allowance with a fuel card · Enhanced maternity and paternity leave · Employee Assistance Programme Branch: Bristol Bell Group Key Beliefs: · Protect our people, protect our places, protect our planet · Support our communities, customers and local economies · Driven to improve, driven to succeed · Here to listen, here to speak · Proud of you, proud of your work, proud of us BelieveBeBetterBeBell
