DevOps Engineer

Job DescriptionMultinational defence firm based near Preston seeks a DevOps specialist.This is a newly created role which offers the rare opportunity to plan and develop the firm's DevSecOps infrastructure and tooling. It is a high profile role which will bring together hundreds of people and stakeholders within a large programme of work. On joining, you will have the opportunity to hire a new team of 2-3 people to report to you, with a view to growing this team in the future. The role will be 50% people management/stakeholder management and 50% hands-on delivery.The ideal candidate will have strong DevOps skills. Previous experience of DevSecOps infrastructure and tooling is not a pre-requisite but you should have an interest in Security. Previous people management experience would be beneficial.This is a permanent, hybrid position which will require SC clearance. No visa sponsorship is available for this role at the moment.
