We're currently looking for a Senior Investigations Officer on a 12 month full-time fixed term contract basis.
This position sits within the Professional Conduct Department, in our London office (hybrid working available).
The Job
Reporting to an Assessment & Investigations Manager, on a day-to-day basis you'll be involved in the following:
Investigating complaints about professional conduct
Exercising strong case and time management skills
Reviewing and assessing documentary evidence
Drafting witness statements
Drafting clear and detailed reports of findings and decisions
Drafting Consent Orders and Reports of Disciplinary Allegations
Preparing associated bundles for hearings
The Person
We’re looking for someone who:
Is a qualified solicitor or barrister with post-qualification experience or specialist investigatory experience in a regulatory environment
Has experience of making decisions and articulating their reasons in writing
Has commercial (e.g. company law) and regulatory awareness (e.g. AML)
Is confident to research areas of practice they are not familiar with
Is interested in unravelling (sometimes voluminous) facts and information and identifying the key issues
Is happy to work autonomously and is self-motivated to progress their own case load in keeping with KPIs
Is comfortable working remotely
Is a good team player
Has experience of conducting investigations within a professional regulatory body
