About the role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) who specialises in supporting non-verbal students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with a small group of children, helping them to access the curriculum, engage with their peers, and develop essential life skills. You’ll be an integral part of our team, providing individualized support and implementing strategies to enhance communication and social interaction. Application Requirements: • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), particularly non-verbal learners. • A strong understanding of special educational needs and effective support strategies. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students. • A compassionate and patient approach, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of children. Key Responsibilities: • Support non-verbal students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities. • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and specialists. • Use visual aids, communication devices, and other resources to facilitate understanding and expression. • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interactions among peers. • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
