Are you an experienced Professional Indemnity Underwriter looking for a new challenge? We’re working with a well-established MGA with a strong presence in the UK market, offering a fantastic opportunity to join their team as a Senior PI Underwriter.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the underwriting of a diverse portfolio of professional indemnity business, with a focus on delivering innovative insurance solutions to a wide range of UK-based brokers. This is a great opportunity to work for a company that has been a trusted name in commercial insurance for over 30 years, with a robust product range that includes PI, Property Owners, General Liability, and Excess of Loss. Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite a varied portfolio of Professional Indemnity risks, offering both Professional Combined and Corporate Combined cover.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to drive growth and profitability.
- Provide top-up Excess of Loss PI cover up to £10 million, tailoring policies to meet client-specific needs.
- Assess and manage risk appetite in line with the company’s guidelines and objectives.
- Collaborate with other underwriting teams to maximize cross-sell opportunities and ensure high service levels.
What we’re looking for:
- Significant experience in Professional Indemnity underwriting within the UK insurance market.
- A Driven, ambitious New Business Underwriter with the autonomy to bring in additional business.
- Strong technical knowledge of PI products, including Excess of Loss cover.
- Proven ability to build and nurture broker relationships and generate new business.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a commercial mindset.
