Oceanfreight Operator

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Oceanfreight Import/Export Clerk to join its growing team in Birmingham. You will be working for a privately owned business within a friendly, sociable team.

ROLE: Oceanfreight Import/Export Clerk

SALARY: Up to £35k plus bonuses and other benefits

HOURS: Monday to Friday 9 am - 5.30 pm

We are looking for a committed team player with experience of completing oceanfreight shipments from start to finish.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

As an oceanfreight operator you will be required to have a minimum of 6 months experience as follows:

• Oceanfreight experience
• Import and/or Export experience
• Quoting/following up on quotations
• Opening/closing files
• Producing relevant oceanfreight documents
• Customs Entries
• Liaising with carriers
• Providing first class customer service
• IATA certified
• Attention to detail
• Strong team player
